What Is Pick and Pack?
Pick and pack is one of the most common warehouse missions posted on FUERTIA. If you are new to warehouse work in Dallas, here is exactly what the role involves and what your first mission looks like.
The role in one sentence
You read an order, walk the aisles to pick each item off the shelf, bring it to a packing station, box it safely, and label it for shipping. Then you do it again for the next order.
What a typical pick and pack mission looks like
- Arrive at the warehouse, check in, and get a brief walkthrough of the picking system from the Business.
- Receive an order list — on paper, a handheld scanner, or a tablet.
- Walk the aisles, pick each item, and bring the batch to the packing area.
- Pack items so they will not move or break in shipping, add the packing slip, and label the box.
- Move to the next order. Most missions run 4 to 8 hours.
What to expect physically
- On your feet the entire mission, often walking several miles across the warehouse floor.
- Lifting boxes up to about 40 pounds; heavier items usually go two-person.
- Warehouse temperatures vary — some are climate controlled, some are not. Dress in layers.
- Closed-toe shoes are required on every pick and pack mission.
Do I need prior experience?
No. Most pick and pack missions on FUERTIA require no prior warehouse experience. The Business walks you through their picking system on arrival, and the work itself is simple. Showing up on time, following instructions, and packing carefully matters more than experience.
How you get paid
Once you confirm completion and the Business confirms, your payout is on its way. Most Earners see the standard payout the same day the mission ends.
